Under the supervision of the Youth Career Connections Program Manager, the part-time Business Services Specialist (grant-funded) will assist with the implementation of the Workforce Investment Opportunity Act ( WIOA ) to conduct outreach, job placement and job retention support services for youth participants in Career Connections. The Business Services Specialist will conduct assessments, provide initial and on-going career counseling to program participants and other duties as assigned. The Business Services Specialist is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning. In addition to above requirements: Knowledge of unemployed and low-income population served through program. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well-developed organizational skills. The ability to analyze program performance and seek strategies to meet performance criteria. Experience in networking, job services resources, and creating employer relationships. Nights and weekend work may be required. Some travel may be required for program meetings, conferences, etc.
