About The Position

The Business Services Representative is responsible for providing talent employment solutions to jobseekers through effective employer relationships. This role involves developing and maintaining employer relationships, connecting jobseekers with hiring opportunities, and managing job orders. The representative will also execute marketing plans, educate employers on services, and network within the business community to generate leads. Additionally, they will maintain databases, report on progress, and collaborate with other departments to place jobseekers in training and employment.

Requirements

  • Marketing and sales experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience making presentations to large groups of people
  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and a clean driving record required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain employer relationships to connect work-ready jobseekers with hiring opportunities
  • Connect employers and jobseekers through rapid response, career fairs and employer-sponsored interview days
  • Create, generate and submits job orders
  • Continually review business opportunities
  • Contacts employers by phone or in person and attempts to schedule face to face meetings
  • Perform initial and follow-up client visits as necessary
  • Develop and execute a marketing/advertising plan
  • Educate employers on Career Center services
  • Provide employer database technical assistance
  • Follow up with employees to ensure that client expectations are met
  • Develop a network for potential business leads
  • Represent EDSI/Job Connect at conferences, meetings and selected social functions as required
  • Network at Chamber of Commerce and other business events to develop business leads
  • Enter employer information into all appropriate databases and monitor employer activities
  • Provide, as required, target estimates or goals and periodic progress reports
  • Meet performance criteria on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Work with the OJT Coordinator to place jobseekers in training with employers
  • Recruit candidates for OJT and WEX positions.
  • Write OJT training plans.
  • Receive OJT reimbursement documents, check them for accuracy, and create invoices
  • Conduct Talent Connect- a weekly orientation to WIOA services and recruiting event for jobseekers
