The Office of Academic Engagement (OAE) oversees a broad range of student success initiatives, including pre-college and undergraduate programs and services, scholarships, a student center, collaborative faculty research projects, and peer educator programs and certifications. As the Business Services Manager, you will provide comprehensive leadership and management of OAE’s financial, personnel, and business administration functions. You will oversee the planning, development, analysis, and management of budgets for grants, contracts, state funds, and program activities, ensuring sound fiscal practices and accurate, comprehensive record keeping. You will lead day-to-day business operations, including budgeting and forecasting, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, payroll, travel and reimbursements, personnel administration, recruitment, property inventory, auditing, record keeping, and grant and contract administration. You will analyze financial and administrative activities, develop specialized reports, and ensure compliance with applicable university and funding requirements. In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Director on fiscal planning, forecasting, and budgeting, as well as with the Finance Officer in the Office of the Provost & Executive Vice President. You will independently manage and process the unit’s budgetary, fiscal, and personnel responsibilities while providing guidance and support on administrative functions and program planning. You may also consult with funding agencies, support special events, and assist with other administrative priorities as needed. The main office location is on the WSU Pullman Campus. This position will be considered for a hybrid scheduled with arrangements aligned per agreement between employee and supervisor.
