Requirements

  • Manage Business Engagement Services Team (BEST) to provide oversight of participant recruitment and job fulfillment process to meet identified workforce needs.
  • Overall responsibility for building business relationships with current, former and new customers.
  • Provide functional supervision and coordination of the Business Services team, Business Service Coordinator, Work Based Training Developers, Recruiter Coordinator and Recruiters to deliver optimal job matching and placement services.
  • Act as primary Business Services Liaison with Lehigh Valley employer base and Workforce Board Lehigh Valley.
  • Perform employer outreach to inform business and industry of PA CareerLink® Lehigh Valley complement of services and train employers on the state’s online job matching system.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up employer visits as necessary to build and maintain ongoing employer relationships.
  • Orient local employers to PA CareerLink® services, financial resources, and available training programs.
  • Meet with Employer Subject Matter Experts (SME) to build Job Task Analysis (JTA), and utilize Skilldex to complete JTA, and include in all on-the-job training (OJT) contracts.
  • Create and maintain business folders on CWDS, entering all employer information and employer contacts into all appropriate systems so as to monitor employer activities.
  • Work with the state’s Apprenticeship and Training Office (ATO) in creating registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs.
  • Maintain monthly On-the-Job Training (OJT), Subsidized Employment, Incumbent Worker Training (IWT), and Apprenticeship invoices and annotate expenses in the appropriate program checkbook.
  • Schedule and oversee hiring events, focused recruitments for employers and sector driven job fairs.
  • Interface with CareerLink functional teams across departments and employees.
  • Provide support to partners within PA CareerLink® and the local region, facilitating gatherings to disseminate local labor market information.
  • Provide customer service surveys to employers and follow up on any requested action items.
  • Provide, as required, target estimates or goals and periodic progress reports related to employer services.
  • Develop a network for potential business leads within a centralized tracking system.
  • Represent PA CareerLink® Lehigh Valley at conferences, meetings and social functions as required.
  • Meet performance criteria on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
