About The Position

The Consumers Credit Union team is looking to hire a passionate Business Services Intern to join our team at our corporate office in Kalamazoo. As an Intern, you will provide exceptional service to enhance member relationships and spend time getting to know about a career in your field. Requirements

  • College junior or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information as well as following security guidelines
  • Communication Excellence – Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with professional rapport building ability.
  • Professional Presence – a polished appearance and composed demeanor that builds member confidence
  • Technical Proficiency - Knowledge of current technology, with the ability to easily navigate multiple software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the department's annual review process in business services
  • Connecting with members and assisting with financial statement needs
  • Analyze financial statements
  • Performing credit pulls for members and performing cash flow and collateral analyses
  • Participate in mentor sessions, panels, and role specific training geared toward advancing your career
  • Work with a diverse team in one of the Best & Brightest Companies
  • Develop an individual development plan
  • Completing annual reviews
  • Stress testing large and/or troubled loans
  • Contacting members via phone and email to collect financial statements
  • Conducting market surveys
  • Exploring and presenting opportunities to penetrate new markets or product lines, such as USDA loans
  • Conducting prospect research
