Reporting to the Director, Business Services and Operational Resilience, the Business Services and Operational Resilience Manager provides enterprise expertise in leading and coordinating Operational Resilience and Crisis Management activities across the organization. This role is accountable for the development, maintenance, testing, and continuous improvement of Operational Resilience, crisis management, and disaster recovery plans, while supporting the governance and leadership of the Operational Resilience Steering Committee. Working closely with business lines and corporate functions, the Manager ensures the organization is prepared to respond to, recover from, and restore operations following disruptions, effectively managing business interruption risk in alignment with organizational priorities and resilience objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading Operational Resilience, Crisis Management, and IT Disaster Recovery programs
  • Strong expertise in BIA development, recovery planning, and operational resilience frameworks
  • Deep knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST SP 800‑34)
  • Demonstrated leadership during incidents and business disruptions
  • Ability to align Operational Resilience and technology disaster recovery plans
  • Experience leading cross‑functional and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and risk‑based decision‑making skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast‑changing environment
  • Strong coaching, change management, and knowledge‑sharing capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • CBCP, MBCI, or equivalent certification preferred
  • IT DR, IT governance, or cyber resilience certifications valued

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain enterprise Operational Resilience, Crisis Management, and Disaster Recovery programs
  • Define and oversee Operational Resilience plans with business, risk, compliance, and data governance partners
  • Lead enterprise‑wide Business Impact Analyses to determine critical functions and recovery priorities
  • Develop, update, and govern Operational Resilience and crisis management plans
  • Partner with technology teams to align and test Disaster Recovery strategies
  • Lead incident response and crisis management during disruptions; coordinate recovery and communications
  • Produce post‑incident reports and track lessons learned and corrective actions
  • Monitor regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging resilience trends
  • Design and deliver training, awareness, and preparedness programs
  • Facilitate tabletop exercises and drive continuous improvement of response and recovery strategies
  • Build strong relationships with leadership, vendors, service providers, and technical teams
  • Maintain Operational Resilience plans, Facilities, and Imaging Services policies in line with Canadian regulatory requirements.
