The Business Services Division within the Office of the Secretary of State is seeking a Temporary Business Services Administrator to support the administration and operation of Vermont's business registration system and services. This position is ideal for someone who is technology-oriented, enjoys mastering complex subject matter, provides exceptional customer service, and works effectively with a high degree of independence. As one of seven members of the Division, the Business Services Administrator plays a key role in processing more than 125,000 business filings annually and supporting businesses registered with the Secretary of State. Primary responsibilities include providing direct customer support by phone, email, and in person; processing and reviewing business filings; supporting colleagues with backup coverage and subject matter expertise; and assisting with the design, maintenance, and enhancement of Division IT systems and operations. This position also contributes to the review and development of business statutes, administrative rules, and operational procedures while collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including regulators, financial institutions, and federal, state, and municipal government partners.
