About The Position

The Business Services Representative is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing mail operations across our corporate buildings. This role ensures efficient distribution of interoffice items, USPS mail, FedEx, UPS, DHL packages, and courier deliveries while maintaining accurate and up-to-date tracking systems. The representative will support daily business operations by providing reliable mail services, shipping guidance to internal customers, and logistics support for company events. This position has varying responsibilities depending on assignment — the representative may be responsible for mail routes, package runs, servicing a specific building, assisting in the copy center, or rotating through multiple buildings based on team needs and business requirements. The role requires strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional internal customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years of experience in a corporate environment in a similar capacity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook); ability to create basic spreadsheets and write clear and concise emails
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and be insurable under the company's standard liability policy; no more than 1 point on record and no DUIs
  • Must be able to travel to local stores, vendors, and/or businesses within Manhattan Beach and surrounding cities within a 50-mile radius
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and otherwise move or position up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal customers
  • Ability to work fully on-site

Responsibilities

  • Distribute and deliver mail and packages by retrieving items from company buildings, post office, and delivery services, sorting by addressee and destination, and managing efficient routing for timely distribution across our buildings
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments using internal courier systems and track daily shipments on the internal tracking system
  • Perform regular inter-building runs to transport mail, packages, and products, following established routes and moving efficiently
  • Adapt to varying assignments including mail routes, package runs, building assignments, supporting the copy center, or rotating between facilities based on team needs
  • Support copy center operations by processing requests and delivering completed materials as directed
  • Provide shipping information and guidance to internal customers while ensuring compliance with postal and delivery service requirements
  • Perform daily office tasks including filing, record maintenance, copying, and preparing mail correspondence
  • Support company events with logistics, staging, setup, breakdown, deliveries and pickups, and attending priority events
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment through daily upkeep of office spaces, equipment, and supplies, coordinating replenishment as needed
  • Develop familiarity with staff and provide training on interoffice and shipping procedures as needed
