About The Position

The Business Product Manager serves as the strategic business leader for retail technology capabilities across the RbA network. This role partners closely with cross functional teams including but not limited to Business Analysts, IT Product Owners and the Business Capability Manager and/or Ops/Retail leaders to ensure technology solutions align with business strategy, drive retail transformation, and deliver best-in-class customer and retailer experience. The BPM also works closely with the Implementation Specialist to help support Organizational Change Management processes and Communication to support ongoing technology enhancements. The Business Product Manager acts as the voice of the retail network—translating business needs into actionable technology priorities, promoting adoption, and ensuring value realization across the RbA technology ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business experience supporting Salesforce or similar enterprise technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of business processes within a retail or field network environment.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing without authority and driving alignment across business and IT teams.
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills—through formal education or applied experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to retail locations.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5+ years equivalent business experience.

Responsibilities

  • Align technology strategy with Retail Operations prioritized business plan.
  • Partner with the Capability Manager and/or Ops/Retail leaders to translate business capabilities into technology needs and value-driven outcomes.
  • Work with IT Product Owners to define, refine, and maintain the retail technology roadmap, ensuring prioritization reflects real business value.
  • Continuously engage with retailers and internal stakeholders to identify technology usage patterns, pain points, process gaps, and emerging needs.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business process requirements and Best Practices across supported retail technology.
  • Represent the voice of the RbA retail network when defining and implementing technology solutions.
  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize enhancement requests from all areas of the business, including RDM’s, the RbA network, Business Capabilities Manager, the Retail Ops Team, the product team, and others as needs arise.
  • Partner with IT Product Owners to ensure enhancements are sized, evaluated, sequenced, and incorporated into release plans.
  • Maintain awareness of vendor roadmaps to anticipate upcoming features and align them with business strategies.
  • Lead and collaborate with the Implementation Specialist on the execution of organizational change management (OCM) activities for technology initiatives within the retail network.
  • Define and deliver communications, training needs, and adoption strategies related to new tools, enhancements, and process changes in conjunction with the Implementation Specialist.
  • Support retailers through transitions with the help of the Implementation Specialist, to ensure successful adoption and maximize business value.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams; including Business Analysts, Implementation Specialists, IT Product Owners, Project Managers and Retail Transformation leaders—to deliver seamless customer and retailer experiences.
  • Engage external technology vendors to support continuous improvement, solve business challenges, and ensure alignment with long-term strategy.
  • Participate in functional councils as the business representative for technology-related topics.
  • Work with the L3 support team to identify potential bugs or enhancement opportunities and to assist BA’s with any retail facing troubleshooting.
  • Work with the QA team to help support UAT testing by coordinating with retailers or Implementation Specialist to perform User Acceptance Testing.
  • Own and manage technology communications for the RbA retail network within the assigned functional area.
  • Ensure stakeholders at all levels understand upcoming changes, impacts, and benefits of technology initiatives.
