About The Position

The Business Process Specialist (M&A) is a strategic role focused on the harmonization of operations during corporate integrations, divestitures, and carvings-out. You will act as the "operational architect," responsible for mapping the current state of both the acquiring and target companies and designing a unified, scalable "Future State" that captures planned synergies. Your primary mission is to minimize operational friction during the high-stakes transition period and ensure that business continuity is maintained as systems and teams merge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or other related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in a corporate environment, interacting with both internal and external stakeholders in Business Process Improvement or as part of an M&A integration team
  • High level of proficiency in Google Suite applications, with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Nice To Haves

  • Foundational working knowledge of Airgas’ strategic plans and business model to facilitate effective support of Potential Transaction analysis.
  • Fulsome understanding of Airgas financial statements and financial analysis principles.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate process redundancies, technical debt, and cultural bottlenecks that may jeopardize the success of corporate integrations.
  • Conduct comprehensive gap analyses to assess the alignment of target company processes with established Airgas standards.
  • Architect scalable "Future State" process models to facilitate the seamless integration of target entities into the Airgas operational ecosystem.
  • Formulate and formalize standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure functional harmonization across the newly unified organization.
  • Help to quantify and track realized operational synergies, focusing on cost-mitigation and efficiency gains derived from post-integration process enhancements.
  • Monitor critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the post-merger integration lifecycle to safeguard productivity and maintain Airgas customer service standards.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within unified workflows to accelerate the extraction of deal value and operational maturity.
  • Assist with compiling and providing data input for monthly reports to Corporate and Group, quarterly reports to the Board of Directors, and other required reporting functions.
  • Act as a liaison between the Corporate Development team and functional business units.
