About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Business Planning & Operations Lead for Agentforce Operations (AFO), which is part of Salesforce’s AI Labs. AFO focuses on delivering automation for high-volume, manual processes not addressed by front-office tools. This role is crucial for building the operational foundation of a fast-growing, high-visibility business. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong business operations skills, capable of establishing structure in ambiguous environments, analyzing data, and driving recommendations to senior leadership. This is a high-visibility role that requires deep analytical rigor and the ability to manage complex operational initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, strategy & operations, FP&A, consulting, or a comparable analytical field.
  • Background in investment banking, management consulting, or a startup environment strongly preferred.
  • Advanced analytical and data modeling skills, with comfort working with ambiguous or incomplete data.
  • Highly detail-oriented and process-driven, able to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and the judgment to know which questions matter most.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior executives.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and drive consensus without direct authority.
  • Comfortable owning ambiguous, cross-cutting mechanics.
  • Proven experience building and scaling operational processes, reporting infrastructure, or planning motions from scratch (0-to-1 experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a SaaS or high-growth technology environment.
  • Proficiency with BI/analytics tools (Tableau, SQL, or similar).
  • Comfort building lightweight automation or AI-assisted tooling.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce's internal operating model.

Responsibilities

  • Drive comprehensive business planning cycles (quarterly/annual), translating strategy into actionable operational plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Program manage complex operational initiatives, ensuring flawless end-to-end execution across cross-functional teams.
  • Lead forward-planning and scenario modeling for future capacity, resourcing, and budget needs.
  • Build scalable reporting infrastructure and models to translate operational data into executive dashboards and business reviews.
  • Own financial and operational mechanics, including headcount plans and variance tracking.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Recruiting, TPM, Data Management, and CSG to align planning inputs and resolve competing priorities.
  • Identify and resolve gaps and friction in current planning processes.
