About The Position

As the Business Optimization Project Manager, you will lead high-impact initiatives that improve the performance, efficiency, and strategic direction of ENMAX Power. This is a highly autonomous role where you’ll partner across ENMAX, work closely with senior leadership, and turn complex business needs into practical, value-driven solutions. You’ll bring sound judgment, strong project leadership, and the confidence to independently shape scope, timelines, and deliverables while navigating financial, business, and regulatory considerations. Success in this role comes from building strong partnerships, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering strategic outcomes that matter.

Requirements

  • University degree in a related field such as Project Management, Accounting/Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics or other quantitative fields
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management and strategic-focused roles
  • Experience providing strategic advice to executive leadership
  • Strong organizational abilities and project management skills
  • Highly effective relationship-building skills with a passion for collaboration and team success
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders
  • Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and care
  • Must be legal to work in Canada
  • Requires the successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Two pieces of valid Government issued ID will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with various levels of leaders across ENMAX Power and Corporate Services to identify, assess, and prioritize initiatives aligned with business plans and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and structures (including charters, workplans, timelines, and governance) to enable successful delivery of strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across Business Units and Corporate Services to achieve project outcomes.
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with ENMAX Power’s strategy and technical feasibility.
  • Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining a strong focus on quality and outcomes.
  • Monitor project progress and manage changes to scope, schedule, risks, and issues, escalating key decisions and trade-offs as required.
  • Measure, track, and report on project performance using appropriate tools, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams through workshops, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional sessions to support coordinated execution and issue resolution.
  • Provide strategic advice, guidance, and recommendations to leadership on initiatives, performance, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials and support change management, analytics, and project coordination activities.
