About The Position

The Business Operations Specialist is responsible for providing transactional, administrative, and repeatable services to the organization in an efficient and timely manner. This position will work in a collaborative environment to support a broad range of personnel security functions and maintain relationships with government customers and Facility Security Officers. Industrial security duties under CACI are essential for preserving national security interests, preserving secret material, and guaranteeing adherence to security regulations. To keep the trust and confidence of government partners and prevent sensitive information from being disclosed without authorization, CACI must prioritize security measures such as facility and staff clearances, access restrictions, physical security, security training, and reporting requirements.

  • Active Secret level Security Clearance or higher.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of security-related experience
  • Have security experience in the U.S. Government, DoD, Intelligence, or contractor community.
  • Ability to eventually obtain Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance level access.
  • Previous industrial security experience and a working knowledge of the NISPOM
  • Possess practical knowledge of and experience with DISS, NBIS, e-QIP, eAPP and databases that serve as the security system of record (i.e. Fresh Haystack)
  • FSO Certification
  • Experience completing DD-254 packages, fingerprinting (use of fingerprinting system/software and SWFT), preparation of visit authorization letters (VALs), use of DISS, and coordination with customer security representatives to process security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer routine aspects of the DOD or other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures in compliance with 32 CFR 117 NISPOM
  • Review SF-86 security questionnaires/Agency nomination packages and ensure that DD-254 packages are complete.
  • Coordinate with customer security representatives to process security clearance applications.
  • Collect and organize data in a cohesive manner for use in the Security primary database system.
  • Verify clearance levels in DISS and perform various tasks in conjunction with processing applications for initial clearances, security clearance upgrades and periodic reinvestigations.
  • Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
  • Maintain liaison with government agencies, external customers
