About The Position

Bezos.ai is a Fulfilment-as-a-Service (FaaS) platform that connects online sellers' sales channels to a global network of warehouse and carrier partners. The platform orchestrates order fulfillment, tracks parcels, and provides sellers with a unified view of their supply chain. As the Business Operations Manager, you will own a significant part of the operations, focusing on building tools, automations, and playbooks to enable the network to scale without increasing headcount. Your role is crucial for the daily functioning of the platform, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, data is reconciled, orders are tracked, and operational issues are permanently resolved through automation and process improvement.

Requirements

  • AI-native: demonstrated experience using AI tools like Claude (or equivalent) to build autonomous skills, agents, or automated workflows, not just conversational use.
  • Ability to demonstrate built AI solutions that run unattended and include human-in-the-loop processes.
  • Autonomous operator: ability to figure things out independently and own complex problems end-to-end with minimal guidance.
  • Numerate & analytical: A degree (or equivalent demonstrated ability) in a quantitative discipline (e.g., engineering, maths, physics, CS, economics, finance) or a heavily numerate social science track.
  • A track record of measurable impact, with specific, quantified outcomes driven (e.g., cost reduction, KPI improvement, process acceleration).
  • A builder mentality: ability to fix broken processes permanently by building tools, commissioning builds, or redesigning processes.
  • Evidence of creating systems, automations, dashboards, or playbooks that are relied upon by others.
  • Thrive in ambiguity, move fast, own outcomes end-to-end, and desire a wide remit in a startup environment.
  • Clear communicator: ability to write crisply, present findings simply, and provide clear direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in e-commerce, logistics, 3PL, or supply chain.
  • Light coding skills (Python, SQL, JavaScript) or experience with no-code tooling (Make, Zapier, Retool, Airtable).
  • Experience working with external partners or vendors against SLAs.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or managing 1-2 people.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile the Bezos Platform, WMS, and Operations Dashboard daily, identifying and resolving missing, stuck, or mismatched orders before they impact sellers.
  • Monitor warehouse and carrier performance against SLAs, escalating issues, and reconciling invoices against rate cards.
  • Develop and implement automations, Claude skills/agents, and dashboards to replace manual, repetitive tasks, enabling team output to scale without increasing headcount.
  • Resolve operational tickets for sellers, identify root causes of recurring issues, and implement upstream fixes.
  • Own the daily operational heartbeat of the platform.
  • Ensure tickets are resolved within SLA.
  • Reconcile data across systems.
  • Hunt down orders that fall through the cracks.
  • Hold warehouses and carriers to their SLAs.
  • Turn recurring operational pain into permanent fixes.
