About The Position

Applied Research Solutions is looking for a full-time Business Operations Manager to support the USAF. This role requires a strong understanding of systems acquisition and program management principles, as well as the ability to provide strategic and tactical program planning. The manager will be responsible for program integration, financial tracking, process improvement, and coordinating various meetings and operational activities. The position also involves drafting documents for leadership approval and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and up to three years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed - OR, five years of directly related experience
  • Experience performing baseline administrative activities for multiple environments.
  • Experience developing briefings for management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Experience in MS Office Suite software required.

Responsibilities

  • Assimilate information quickly, communicate effectively, and remain organized in order to monitor progress toward the accomplishment of various taskings and initiatives.
  • Use knowledge and understanding of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.2, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force to provide strategic and tactical program planning (short-term, mid-term, and long-term plans).
  • Carry out program integration tasks such as developing, tracking, and updating integrated roadmaps and schedules for a large, multi-program portfolio.
  • Work proactively, with minimal supervision, and effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.).
  • Use business management experience to track and inform portfolio expenditures, spend plan development, and build documentation to support financial requirements documents and processes.
  • Use process improvement expertise to inform business operations, human relations, manpower, and internal resource utilization.
  • Draft documents for the approval and signature of leadership.
  • Coordinate, document, monitors, and supports a variety of meetings and conferences.
  • Assist in management and coordination of organization/program operation strategies and activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
