The Business Operations Associate supports the Product Development Science and Technology BDL group in the coordination and scheduling of maintenance activities, inventory support, and business operations under the management of the PDS&T Business Operations team. They will manage iterative and/or transformational changes through process improvements, initiatives and workstreams and act as primary point of contact for continuous process improvement activities for responsible process categories and related topics. The core responsibilities of the Business Operations Associate are to schedule, plan, organize, and monitor performance of all tasks and materials and services required to ensure that maintenance and calibration of equipment meets all PDS&T and operations requirements and to support Business Operations for laboratory expansion, integration, continuous improvement, and subject matter expertise in associated lab operations. They will coordinate the activities of technicians, vendors, support staff, Unity Managed/Lab Services, PPD FSPs, lab operations teams, or mechanics, along with other required resources and contractors, to ensure that all required scheduled and demand maintenance and calibration is performed and to coordinate activities of for cross functional support for freezer inventory management, shipping logistics, facilities requests, and buffer/media prep to support the laboratory and customer needs. Some project assignments may be required for continuous laboratory improvements and support.
