About The Position

Sitting within Cisco's Strategy, Planning, and Operations organization, this team works at the intersection of Routing and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The role supports a wide range of operational initiatives, helping teams work smarter, communicate more effectively, and deliver results. The Business Operations Analyst will collaborate across functions, contribute to strategic projects, and develop a strong foundation in how a world-class technology company operates. This is an exciting early-in-career opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of writing, project coordination, and business process improvement.

Requirements

  • Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or relevant degree program (e.g., Associates, Apprenticeship, Boot Camp, or Certification in a specialized program + 1 year of relevant experience, High School Diploma + 2 years of relevant experience) or Bachelors + 0 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling business documents, reports, and executive-level presentations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to translate complex information into visually engaging and audience-appropriate presentations

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies or tools (e.g., Airtable, Asana) to support planning, tracking, and execution of business initiatives
  • Experience working in a cross-functional or matrixed business environment, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and build relationships across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization, analysis, and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Support and contribute to business operations programs, initiatives, and projects
  • Draft, edit, and refine business documents, including project plans, executive-level presentations and summaries, and stakeholder communications
  • Develop a growing understanding of Cisco's business objectives, products, services, and customers
  • Assist in project management activities such as tracking milestones, maintaining project timelines, coordinating meeting agendas & content, and following up on action items
  • Analyze and identify trends and patterns in operational data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Communicate moderately complex concepts clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to inform and influence decision-making
  • Collaborate with peers and senior colleagues, executives, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to understand and resolve operational challenges
  • Participate as an active member of project teams, contributing to planning, execution, and delivery
  • Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced team members while progressively taking on greater responsibility
