About The Position

Red Carrot is seeking a curious recent graduate to help make work simpler, faster, and more effective. The Associate will work with leadership and colleagues to understand how the business operates, identify operational problems and inefficiencies, research solutions, and put practical improvements into practice. The role involves using AI for research, analysis, information organization, and business problem-solving, as well as building and testing automations, simple tools, trackers, and workflows. The Associate will take improvement projects from problem definition through implementation, documentation, and follow-up; support colleagues in adopting useful tools and processes; and evaluate results such as time saved, errors reduced, or improved ease of work. The role requires initiative and the ability to move projects forward independently while recognizing when to seek input. Applicants should share an example of a problem solved or process improved using AI, automation, or data, including how the work was checked and what was learned. Academic and personal projects are welcome, and prior experience is required.

Requirements

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in business or industrial engineering.
  • Prior experience is required; school projects, internships, personal projects, and work experience can demonstrate relevant abilities.
  • Practical experience using AI beyond basic questions, including research, analysis, and building an automation or simple tool.
  • Ability to organize work, follow through, and communicate progress and obstacles clearly.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, data, and unfamiliar software.
  • Sound judgment about when to proceed independently and when to seek input.
  • Curiosity about how things work and persistence in figuring out how to improve them.

Responsibilities

  • Measure whether changes save time, reduce errors, or make work easier.
  • Check AI outputs for accuracy and use approved tools carefully when handling confidential information.
  • Understand key team workflows and identify improvement opportunities during the first 90 days.
  • Prioritize opportunities with leadership based on value and feasibility.
  • Implement at least one useful process improvement, automation, or simple tool during the first 90 days.
  • Document implemented solutions, help colleagues use them, and evaluate their results.
