About The Position

Requirements

  • 2-4 years’ experience in healthcare billing, preferably in a long-term care environment.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience leading a Business Office with strong Medicare/HMO billing experience.
  • Ability to understand and implement healthcare reimbursement, billing, and accounting principles.
  • Ability to understand, control, and track direct spending and labor budgets.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree from an accredited college with a specialization in business or accounting.
  • Public Notary.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall business office operations.
  • Ensure systems of internal control are in place and operating satisfactorily to safeguard facility assets.
  • Maximize cash flow and meet company accounts receivable targets.
  • Act as a financial liaison between corporate departments and other staff (accounting, reimbursement, etc.) to ensure the effectiveness of the company’s audit and compliance efforts.
