About The Position

The primary function of the Business Office Coordinator includes, but is not limited to, the effective coordination of the business office tasks and timely completion of all financial duties and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily and weekly reconciliation for patient account payments.
  • Review and maintain patient payment plans.
  • Knowledge of insurance and billing process for commercial, government payors, workers' compensation and other plans.
  • Review coding inquiry for open claims. Work with physician offices for review and resolution.
  • Process incoming accounts payable invoices for payment in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains adequate inventory of all office supplies, forms and printed materials.
  • Assist in inquires for patient authorization, coding or other items from billing dept.
  • Receipt and processing of patient medical record requests.
  • Assist with facility physician credentialing files.
  • Supports and assists the Business Office Manager as directed.
  • Provides support and guidance to the Business Office staff as needed.
  • Assist facility leadership with other projects/tasks as assigned.
