About The Position

As the Off-Shift Business Manager, you will provide leadership for Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE) on 2nd shift. You will be responsible for providing direction and assistance to the team.

Requirements

3 years of manufacturing experience
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed by the business and a C shift (2nd shift)

Responsibilities

Communicate status to other shifts
Champion of allocated BPD activities
Discuss daily/weekly production plan with business managers
Make adjustments to the schedule as needed as a result of production problems
Allocate manpower as needed
Maintain shift safety by audits, observation and follow up of all incidents
Discuss major downtime causes with maintenance daily and request corrective action
Report shift status to assistant plant manager
Coach and mentor group leaders and improve their general performance
Ensure GM-GMS is followed
Liaise with quality team to address any quality problems and co-ordinate countermeasures
Support area manager to resolve manpower issues in conjunction with union
Understand and comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements
Must be willing to work weekends and overtime based on business needs
