About The Position

This opportunity currently exists within the Operations team for an off-shift (2nd Shift) Value Stream Manager. The successful candidate will coordinate and drive execution of off-shift personnel assigned to 2nd shift (and at times 3rd shift) operations in support of current and future initiatives as it relates to the movement of product through OCMC fabrication, diamond-point turning, coating and assembly manufacturing teams. Requirements

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices
Motivate, manage, and inspire this multi-shift production team to safely meet deadlines and goals.
Proficiency in using computer systems and relevant production management software packages.
Analyze issues, find logical and effective solutions, and make timely, decisive corrective actions.
Possess the strong organizational skills required for planning production schedules, coordinating activities, and managing multiple projects and resources efficiently.
Manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and safety regulations to ensure high-quality products and a safe working environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with leading teams with diverse operational skillsets and equipment.
A solid understanding of manufacturing production processes and relevant industry-specific technologies.
Collaborate and influence the development of project objectives and goals with external customers and internal stakeholders.
Experience with team building, change management and team leadership in a matrix organization.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment governed by FOE protocols
Knowledge of the optics industry.

Responsibilities

Develop and monitor production schedules, allocate labor across shifts, manage inventories, and assign tasks to meet deadlines and customer needs.
Establish and enforce quality standards, ensure reliable materials and equipment, and oversee health and safety protocols for a secure workplace.
Manage operational budgets, control production costs, minimize waste, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
Supervise the manufacturing process, resolve production issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
Analyze production data, identify improvement opportunities, and prepare performance and cost reports for management.
