Administers occupational tax license and short-term rental permit applications by reviewing submissions, determining classifications, calculating fees, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Provides specialized customer service and technical guidance regarding licensing requirements, documentation, and complex issues. Maintains, analyzes, and reports business license data; reviews records for accuracy; updates information within the licensing system; retrieves licensing information; and prepares reports and statistical data. Resolves complex and specialized licensing matters; manages escalated and expedited accounts; processes alcohol applications and renewals; resolves non-routine issues; and applies technical expertise to ensure compliance. Administers privileged license background investigations; coordinates with the Police Department; maintains investigation records; communicates with applicants; and updates information with the Georgia Department of Revenue. Coordinates compliance reviews and interdepartmental activities; facilitates inspections; provides guidance on classifications and locations; routes referrals; and works with stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance. Prepares and distributes licensing documents and processes financial transactions, including receipts and deposits. Serves as a liaison to applicants, agencies, and County departments by responding to inquiries and complaints, managing special event applications, and performing related duties as assigned.
