Business Lending Internship
About The Position
This internship involves providing administrative support within the business lending department. The intern will assist with underwriting commercial real estate credit reviews, analyzing borrower financial conditions and associated risks, and recommending risk-rating changes. Key tasks include performing financial reviews, analyzing repayment ability and personal cash flow, reviewing credit reports, analyzing commercial leases, reviewing real estate appraisals, following up on property insurance documentation, and performing property inspections. The role requires the ability to follow instructions and perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
- One to three years of similar or related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form.
- Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms consistently.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel and crouch occasionally.
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
- Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Underwrites commercial real estate credit reviews and analyzes the risks associated with the borrower's financial condition, recommending risk-rating changes where appropriate.
