About The Position

The incumbent is responsible for oversight of Radiology systems (PACS, STAT RAD, EPIC, MYCHART Scheduling), the radiology call center and all front office functions for imaging, reading clerks, patient navigation, and clinical software operations. Responsible for all aspects of planning, organization, and coordinating all Radiology Department activities to meet needs of effective quality access and scheduling of radiology exams through the collection, organization, and presentation of departmental metrics. Assists Sr. Director in strategic and financial planning to ensure state of the art technology; create and develop a robust data reporting system for all Imaging as well as mentor analysts in the department, develops standards and testing procedures that meet the needs of patients and physicians; oversees quality services including data collection and data distribution to leadership team and performance improvement in all areas of responsibility; and evaluates and implements processes to maximize utilization of resources with attention to controlling costs and maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Partners with the Biomedical Department and Procurement Department; and is responsible for capital planning for imaging equipment management, with Sr. Director oversight. Continuously collaborates with the various modalities within Radiology to ensure overall operations exceed expectations. Identifies and sets unit performance goals and intervenes as necessary to ensure performance targets are met at optimum efficiency levels. Responsible for reporting and data analytics for all medical imagining in the Health System. The Manager will plan and manage unit budgets and will implement strategies for improvement of resource utilization. The Manager is responsible for ensuring the staff on the unit are well-trained and motivated, and is accountable for recruitment and retention efforts, hiring, coaching, training, counseling, performance evaluations, competency assessments, work standards, discipline to include separations.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals to secure and/or provide information to clarify situations, resolve problems, and negotiate services and/or agreements.
  • Working knowledge of budget, billing, and basic cost accounting function, and Human Resource issues, principles, and concepts.
  • Skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
  • Familiarity with all technical aspects of Radiological Sciences (Diagnostic, CT, Nuclear Med., Ultrasound, Mammography, MRI, Vascular and Interventional Procedures).
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in supervision/management.
  • Extensive analytical / problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing and generating management or summary reports using relevant data, analysis, and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience composing analysis/reports, correspondence and summaries in a comprehensive organized format.
  • Experience analyzing complex information in an objective manner and derives logical conclusions to provide a sound basis for establishing priorities and selecting appropriate courses of action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comprehensive project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer applications. Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and other tools in the Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, as well as internal and external stakeholders at all level across the health system.
  • Ability to develop a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations and effectively manage change.
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.
