About The Position

The Business Intelligence Intern will support the department by assisting with the creation, modification, and maintenance of dashboards and reports. This role is designed for a current undergraduate or graduate student seeking hands-on experience in business intelligence, data visualization, and analytics tools. The intern will also help respond to and triage technical questions related to reporting and Tableau usage. This position offers exposure to real business data, collaboration with stakeholders, and mentorship from experienced analytics professionals.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Business Analytics, Business Administration/Finance, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Analytical mindset focused on process and data analysis
• Experience working with and/or coursework exposure with visualization tools
• Technical Skills: experience an/or coursework with data visualization, reporting, and business intelligence.
• Has had exposure to BI tools and/or SQL knowledge
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); Demonstrates organizational and assertiveness skills, flexibility, and ability to work effectively in teams.
• Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to excel and/or SQL is a plus
• Basic familiarity with data concepts such as KPIs, calculations and datasets

Responsibilities

• Utilizing BI tools, primarily Tableau, assist with the development, enhancement, and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
• Modify existing dashboards and visualizations based on evolving business needs
• Help answer, triage, and respond to technical questions related to reports, dashboards, and Tableau functionality
• Perform basic data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting outputs
• Support documentation of dashboards, metrics definitions, and reporting processes
• Collaborate with analysts and business partners to understand reporting requirements
• Provide ad-hoc reporting or analytical support as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
