About The Position

Weinstein Properties is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to replace static reports with interactive dashboards that make data easy to explore and understand. This role will initially focus on querying data in MySQL and SQL Server, shaping it in Python, and storing it in Microsoft Fabric to facilitate building scalable Power BI dashboards. In the long run, the developer will help support the company's goal to centralize and simplify access to reporting using tools that expand beyond Power BI. The position involves working within the data analysis team, collaborating closely with the IT team and various stakeholders to own the design, build, and rollout of high-impact dashboards. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and excited to build tools that people actually use. There is a particular motivation to find a candidate who balances data engineering with design aesthetics and user experience.

Requirements

  • Experience writing SQL to query and transform data
  • Working knowledge of Python for automating data tasks
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
  • Experience with warehousing data in a cloud platform
  • Experience building dashboards or reports in Power BI (or a similar BI tool)
  • Clear communication skills
  • Comfort learning new tools and technologies as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing aesthetically pleasing, user-oriented tools
  • Experience with access controls, permissions management, and Active Directory
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse environments, or modern cloud data platforms
  • Experience deploying dashboards to broad internal audiences
  • Experience with front-end web development, including HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Familiarity with data refresh processes and performance optimization
  • Experience collaborating with IT teams on data pipelines or access controls
  • Interest in improving data quality, governance, and documentation
