About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Business Intelligence Developer in Epic. This role is responsible for responding to user requests for new or modified systems, which may involve planning, designing, and analyzing various programs or software. The developer will consult with users to identify current operating procedures, define system requirements, and determine programming and output needs. They will recommend and approve technical and procedural designs for new or revised applications, including system specifications and programming guidelines. Additionally, the role involves documenting program development, logic, coding, and corrections. This position requires advanced SQL querying capabilities across Clarity and Caboodle, strong knowledge of Epic data models (Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito), and the ability to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions while managing the full reporting lifecycle. The developer will also provide mentorship to less senior team members and offer forward-thinking technical leadership.

Requirements

  • Advanced SQL querying capabilities across Clarity and Caboodle.
  • Strong knowledge of Epic data models (Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito).
  • Ability to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
  • Own the full reporting lifecycle.
  • Certified in following core technical areas in EPIC platform - Cogito, Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data.
  • 5 years of relevant experience planning, design, testing, implementation, support, analysis of programs and software, and or a participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with community connect practices.
  • Familiarity with Corewell health standards for reporting/analytics.
  • Master's Degree or equivalent.
  • An understanding and functional knowledge of key application data models.
  • Working knowledge of interface specifications, triggers and rules, including HL7, EDI, FTP, etc.
  • Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant technology, tools and methods.
  • Certified in following core technical areas in EPIC platform - Cogito Tools Administration, Caboodle Development for Clarity Data, Caboodle Development for Non-Epic Data.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning, design, testing, implementation, support and analysis of programs and software.
  • Recommends technical and procedural designs for new or revised applications, including system specifications and programming guidelines.
  • Consults with users to identify current operating procedures for departmental changes, defines system requirements, identifies programming and output needs and develops designs to meet these needs.
  • Documents program development, logic, coding and corrections.
  • Takes ownership of resolution for product and/or implementation issues.
  • Participates in risk assessment, and assists in root cause analysis.
  • Ensures that change management policies and procedures are being applied.
  • Provides mentorship to less senior team members, and is accountable as a role model for customer service excellence.
  • Provides forward-thinking technical leadership for application systems, and utilizing an understanding of both the current and future states of the technology is able define and articulate pros, cons and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
