Business Intelligence Developer

About The Position

Our client is a private, Richmond-based company building out its BI function — this hire will own it. Full details shared with qualified candidates. They are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to replace static reports with interactive dashboards that make data easy to explore and understand. Initially, the role will focus on querying data in MySQL and SQL Server, shaping it in Python, and storing it in Microsoft Fabric to support scalable Power BI dashboards. Longer term, you'll help centralize and simplify access to reporting with tools that expand beyond Power BI. You'll sit within the data analysis team, partnering closely with IT and business stakeholders to own the design, build, and rollout of high-impact dashboards. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and excited to build tools people actually use — someone who balances data engineering (building pipelines from source to page) with design aesthetics and user experience. If you're strong technically and eager to learn, we encourage you to apply even if you don't check every box.
