Role Overview: The Business Intelligence Data Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of data visualizations, data tools, and other products that support the goals, strategies, and decision-making of the Commission and Commission Staff. Under the direction of the Director for Business Intelligence and Analytics, this position serves as the project manager for data collection, data transformation, and reporting through the CHEDSS system and is the primary Business Intelligence liaison to the Academic Affairs team. The Data Manager works closely with a variety of agency staff and supports intra-agency initiatives with data and insights needed to support strategic initiatives and optimize operations. Key outcomes for this role include: With direction from the Director for Business Intelligence and Analytics, maintain and enhance the agency’s existing portfolio of business intelligence products for internal and external stakeholders that align with team and agency reporting strategy. With support from the Statistician, lead the annual CHEDSS data collection process including communication with institutional partners, troubleshooting submission errors, and data clean up tasks as needed. In coordination with the Academic Affairs team, build and maintain data visualizations, reports, tools, and analysis products for internal and external CHEDSS users. Support and maintain business processes that enhance business intelligence capacity building. Other duties as assigned.
