This co-op role sits within the RAN SW Compute & Platforms Engineering and RAN Performance development groups in Ottawa, focused on delivering business analytics that empower organizational leaders to make better decisions in development quality, planning, and predictability.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in C# or Java programming
  • SQL coding skills
  • Knowledge of .NET development
  • Familiarity with databases and/or database administration
  • Understanding of business intelligence, analytics, data mining, and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems
  • 2.7+ GPA or equivalent
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or Master’s on a full-time basis at a four-year college or university at the time of the co-op
  • Be available to work 40 hours per week during Co-Op term

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of large-scale product development (experience in telecommunications is an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a team delivering business analytics to support organizational decision-making
  • Build and maintain business analytics software on a large data warehouse
  • Develop software for the extraction, cleaning, formatting, and delivery of business data from multiple sources — including code builds, test tracing, defect tracking, project management, and product delivery
  • Work with large-scale business data sets
  • Collaborate with team members across the organization
  • Apply Agile ways of working
  • Review software designs
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve technical issues
