Key responsibilities include analyzing complex processes, developing technical and/or process solutions to meet business needs, and collaborating with customers and technical staff throughout project lifecycles, including requirements gathering and change management. The role also involves acting as a subject matter expert on technology, resource needs, schedules, and implementation, while adhering to divisional and corporate project management guidelines. Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree is Required
  • 5 plus years’ experience with Power BI or SSRS reporting and self-serve analytics
  • Strong collaboration skills as well as excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including working with business users at all levels
  • Ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide the timeline to accomplish tasks.
  • Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop
  • Ability to recommend and perform "what-if" analysis, with tools such as Excel "Goal Seek", "Solver", etc.
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control for variables and attributes.
  • Working knowledge of ANOVA and regression analysis.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Possesses strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work successfully and independently in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL coding experience, schema design and performance tuning
  • Fluent on data segmentation.
  • 5 plus years’ experience with Power BI or SSRS reporting and self-serve analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point); strong understanding of Excel.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Descriptive statistics for location, scale and asymmetry required.
  • Notions of forecasting (moving average, exponential smoothing) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power BI preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of DAX preferred, but not required.
  • Sampling statistics/Sampling distributions preferred but not required.
  • ARIMA methods preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client’s business and data requirements and convert them into Microsoft Power BI dashboards and solutions.
  • Configure and administer Microsoft Power BI dashboards, reports and datasets.
  • Facilitate training sessions on BI tools.
  • Work with clients to engage user community and promote platform adoption.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for BI end user solutions, including sharing skills with technically-inclined business users.
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to support business needs, following BI development best practices and innovative use of appropriate technologies and systems.
  • Work effectively with customers in all phases of application development projects, potentially including requirements gathering, design, testing and change management.
  • Participate in quality or process improvement activities, including regular reviews of systems and technology. Design and implement modifications or improvements, based on those activities.
  • Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of business processes and cross-functional relationships.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals.
  • Provide ad hoc queries, reports, dashboards, and analytics both out of the financial and operational systems.
  • Lead integration, performance, and user acceptance testing for reporting solutions.
  • Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights.
  • Develop reports using Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) from a variety of data sources including Analysis Services Cubes and relational databases.
  • Development of complex SQL Code (queries, stored procedures and functions) used in reports SQL data source.
  • Create Workspace and Apps in Power BI service and provide App access to end users.
  • Design, publish and maintain Power BI data models based on measurements and dimensions based on the customer and dashboard needs.
  • Identify KPIs with clear objectives and monitor them consistently.
  • Perform SQL tuning for best results.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
