Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the organization's core business process and operations.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
  • Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Experience in UML, SysML, or other BA-related modeling tools and languages.
  • Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them to systems issues and products as required.
  • Understanding of project management principles, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Six (6) years or more of Business Analysis experience at a professional level.
  • Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
  • General technical knowledge, which may include knowledge of systems, servers, databases, networks, telecommunications, hardware, and software.
  • Understanding of the organization's core software applications

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related subject.
  • CCBA/CBAP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work with project sponsors to define project scope and vision
  • Identify stakeholders and establish roles and user classes
  • Gather user requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and use cases
  • Set scope and parameters for requirements analysis to determine project impact and metrics
  • Prioritize requirements with stakeholders and the project team
  • Review and improve requirements-gathering processes
  • Evaluate software and hardware alignment with business needs
  • Use requirements documentation software as directed by the PMO
  • Verify solutions’ compatibility with business requirements
  • Check requirements for applicability, consistency, feasibility, and completeness
  • Write requirements using standard templates
  • Convert user requirements into clear functional specifications
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for project guidance
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted
  • Interpret user requirements and communicate options to stakeholders
  • Track and manage requirements status throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate changes and updates to project managers, sponsors, and stakeholders
  • Provide guidance to junior staff members
