About The Position

Ziegler CAT is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to interpret and execute data visualization using Power BI for different divisions of the business. The role works with those divisions to develop effective and efficient reporting and analytics that support Ziegler’s goal of maximizing customer uptime. The analyst also explores data sources outside Ziegler to support ongoing market research. This position is based on-premise at the corporate office in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Requirements

Four-year degree in Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or Computer Science.
At least 2 years of data visualization experience with Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with data extraction and analysis tools.
SQL experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience with Power Query M language and Power BI.
Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical and systematic thinking skills.
Strong business analysis skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools.
Self-directed approach and ability to identify workflow improvements.
Flexibility to work with different departments and processes.
Ability to use hands, talk, and hear.

Responsibilities

Create data visualizations using Power BI.
Collaborate with team members to collect data and support the company’s mission.
Create and maintain documentation, including designs, requirements, and user manuals.
Identify development needs to streamline and improve organizational operations, efficiency, and profitability.
Gather business intelligence from company data, industry and field reports, public information, and purchased sources.
Recommend effective ways to visualize information in Power BI.
Compile business intelligence and trends to support actionable recommendations.
Design new data collection models.
Coordinate with the IT department to implement new models.
Profile data to identify anomalies.
Consult with management and relevant stakeholders to define goals.
Coach others in Power BI use and business intelligence best practices.
