Business Intelligence Analyst
About The Position
As a member of the Business Intelligence team, the Business Intelligence Analyst builds dashboards, reports, and solutions that convey relevant data and metrics to clients and help identify organizational needs by collecting and monitoring data points. The role covers all stages of business intelligence project work, from requirements and logical design through physical design, implementation, testing, and deployment. The analyst works with the IT team and department managers to develop recurring solutions for internal and external clients, and uses data analysis to support informed business decisions.
Requirements
- Experience in all stages of business intelligence project work, including requirements and logical design, physical design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, manage workload to deadlines, and shift priorities with flexibility and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance business intelligence dashboards, reports, and analytic solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements and logical design, physical design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Work collaboratively with the IT team to ensure appropriate data sources are available for reporting needs.
- Participate in implementing new projects.
- Extract, analyze, and manipulate data from various sources, including data warehouses and data lakehouses.
- Identify meaningful business insights and patterns; interpret data and analyze results using analytics, research methodologies, and statistical techniques.
- Optimize data strategy to support data-driven decisions; maintain data accuracy and identify opportunities to improve key reports, metrics, and workflows.
- Work with department managers to create recurring dashboards, reports, and other BI solutions for internal and external clients.
- Analyze business requirements and processes and recommend implementation approaches to management and executives.
- Create curricula to train internal and external clients in using business intelligence tools to improve business decision-making.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and workload deadlines, adjusting priorities with flexibility and professionalism.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data models and report definitions.
- Perform other related essential duties as assigned or requested.
