About The Position

Ziegler CAT is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to interpret and execute data visualization using Power BI for different divisions of the business. The role works with those divisions to create effective, efficient reporting and analytics that support Ziegler’s goal of maximizing customer uptime. The analyst will also explore external data sources to support market research and exploration. This position is performed on-premise at Ziegler’s corporate office in Bloomington, Minnesota. The role gathers and compiles business intelligence from company data and other sources, develops data collection models, profiles data for anomalies, and recommends impactful ways to visualize information. The analyst works with management, stakeholders, and IT to define goals and implement improvements, and coaches others in Power BI and business intelligence best practices.

Requirements

Four-year degree in Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or Computer Science.
At least 2 years of data visualization experience with Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with data extraction and analysis tools.
SQL experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience with Power Query M language and Power BI.
Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Ability to analyze information and think systematically.
Strong business analysis skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools.
Self-driven approach and ability to identify workflow improvements.
Flexibility to work with different departments and processes.

Responsibilities

Create data visualizations using Power BI.
Collaborate with team members to collect data and execute the company’s mission.
Create and maintain documentation, including designs, requirements, and user manuals.
Identify development needs and improve organizational operations for efficiency and profitability.
Gather business intelligence from company data, industry and field reports, public information, and purchased sources.
Recommend effective and impactful ways to visualize information in Power BI.
Compile business intelligence and trends to support actionable recommendations.
Design new data collection models and coordinate with IT to implement them.
Perform data profiling to identify anomalies.
Consult with management and relevant stakeholders to define goals.
Coach others in Power BI and business intelligence best practices.
