About The Position

FALCATA is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst to work with the Operations, Business Development, and Finance teams. The role develops reports in Deltek Cognos BI, builds interactive Power BI dashboards, and helps maintain a data warehouse that supports consistent, trusted reporting across the organization. The ideal candidate is located in Huntsville, Alabama and can work on a hybrid basis. The analyst partners with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, key performance indicators, and data definitions; monitors data quality; and helps resolve issues with technical and business teams. The position also supports data warehouse implementation and maintenance, reporting datasets and refresh processes, access controls, and data governance. The analyst improves BI tools and provides training and ongoing support for users and self-service reporting.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence solutions.
At least 3 years of experience developing Cognos reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
Ability to gather requirements and explain technical findings to nontechnical audiences.
Analytical and independent problem-solving skills.
Organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with the Deltek Costpoint Accounting System database schema.
Experience with Power Query, DAX, and Power BI semantic models.
Experience working with production and manufacturing data and KPIs.
Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehousing platforms.
College or university degree in data analytics, data science, or an equivalent field.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Cognos reports that interface with Deltek Costpoint modules, including Accounting, Contracts, Materials, Time & Expense, and Projects, as well as Power BI dashboards.
Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, key performance indicators, and data definitions.
Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and work with technical and business teams to resolve issues.
Support data warehouse implementation, including data modeling, source integration, testing, and documentation.
Help maintain reporting datasets, refresh processes, access controls, and data governance standards.
Improve the performance, usability, and reliability of reports, dashboards, and warehouse data.
Train users and provide ongoing support for BI tools and self-service reporting.
