About The Position

ECTC is seeking a dynamic Business Instructor to teach a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester. Teaching duties include the creation and delivery of course content, using Blackboard for communication and feedback, course design, and student outcome assessment. Emphasis on student success and retention through regular office hours, student advising, internal service/committee work, community service, and professional development. Candidates must possess a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to the community and technical college mission. Courses may be taught at all ECTC campuses (Elizabethtown, Leitchfield, & Springfield). The faculty assignment period is full-time for 10 months (August-May), promotion track.

Requirements

  • Masters level degree in business (MBA) or higher.
  • Ability to teach and advise students in a professional and organized manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Strong communications/relationship-building skills.
  • A high level of initiative in approaching tasks and challenges.
  • Ability and interest in internal service to the college, external service, professional development, and leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with both face-to-face and online teaching is preferred.
  • Experience in teaching business management courses is preferred.
