Summer '27 Intern - Business Insights
About The Position
The Business Insights intern will join Welltower’s Business Insights team, which integrates information from diverse sources and analyzes it to improve business performance. The team collaborates across business segments to help make Welltower an insight-driven organization, using data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making and capital allocation. During the ten-week internship, the intern will contribute to high-priority work, collaborate with teams across the business, and gain hands-on experience across Welltower’s platform, including access to senior leadership. The role involves preparing and analyzing data, building models and reporting tools, and documenting work. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Requirements
- Maintain student status at an accredited college or university and be enrolled in an MS or PhD degree program in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
Nice To Haves
- Previous internship and/or work experience.
- Prior experience in Computer Science, ML Ops, or Git.
- Prior experience with Python, R, Snowflake, or AWS.
Responsibilities
- Compile, clean, and validate large datasets for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform quantitative analyses to identify trends and correlations with key portfolio KPIs.
- Use data from diverse sources to train statistical or other mathematical models that feed key business outcomes.
- Produce effective documentation and notation of work performed.
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and reports that deliver actionable insights for decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
