About The Position

Huntington’s internship programs provide emerging talent with meaningful, hands‑on experience aligned to their area of study. Over the course of the interns’ time at Huntington, they gain exposure to key business functions across all segments of the organization. An intern’s experience should be focused on professional growth, skill development, and practical application of academic learning. Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. The experience also includes immersion in Huntington’s award‑winning culture through community involvement and team‑based activities. Internships at Huntington are designed to help students build a strong foundation for future career success while contributing to meaningful business initiatives. Huntington offers internship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in an academic program and seeking practical, hands‑on experience in their field of study. Internships take place during a defined period of time and are available across all business segments. Rising seniors (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 grads) may participate in the Huntington Internship Program, an 11-week, role-aligned experience where students work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives. In addition to hands-on project work, participants gain exposure to executive leadership, participate in Huntington's innovation project, and build connections that may lead to future full-time opportunities. All interns participate in a variety of developmental and professional activities designed to support learning and exposure to the organization. Depending on your school year, program components may include: Experience in day‑to‑day responsibilities related to their assigned team Exposure to broader business functions A structured schedule of professional development sessions Opportunities to engage with members of the Executive Leadership Team Discussions with senior leaders regarding career paths and Huntington’s business areas A team project focused on applying Huntington’s innovation framework to a business‑relevant problem Participation in volunteer activities and internal events aligned with Huntington’s culture Within the Business Innovation & AI Products, interns gain exposure to leading and innovating banking AI solutions and products. Students partner directly with professionals to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives while developing knowledge of how generative AI is being leveraged in banking, some of the AI products that banks are investing in and processes and practices to get AI products stood up in a large enterprise. Opportunities may include exposure to consumer, business, and wealth management AI products. Successful candidates are curious, collaborative, and interested in learning more about careers in AI banking products, technologies, and experiences.

Requirements

  • High School graduate
  • Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with at least one quarter/semester of school after the completion of the summer program.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice® applications
