About The Position

As Wellmark advances its enterprise AI strategy, this role translates strategic AI priorities into coordinated execution, responsible adoption, and measurable business outcomes across the organization. It works across business and technology functions to provide oversight, governance, and strategic enablement for enterprise AI initiatives, aligning organizational objectives with technology capabilities, risk management, and investment decisions. The role drives accountability and decision-making through Wellmark’s AI governance structure and partners with executive leaders, business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners. It turns strategic direction into actionable roadmaps, establishes frameworks to measure adoption and business value, coordinates AI-related vendor evaluations and strategic initiatives, and helps ensure the technology, data, workforce, and operational capabilities needed for success are in place. The position leads through partnerships rather than direct authority, using influence, collaboration, and change leadership to build alignment, accelerate responsible AI adoption, remove execution barriers, and provide enterprise-wide visibility into progress, outcomes, and value. The posting also lists technical architecture and solution responsibilities, including design guidance, governance, vendor and integration review, stakeholder collaboration, and mentorship. The role may be filled at the Business Initiatives Consultant or Senior Business Initiatives Consultant level.
