About The Position

This role partners with assigned business segments to deliver actionable and decision-relevant business insights derived from customer trends, market dynamics, customer behavior, voice of the customer, competitive assessments, and industry trends. The position provides analytical support and business-level guidance for the creation and distribution of enterprise business intelligence reporting. It requires expert knowledge of current Informational Delivery Platform tools, methods, and best practices, with a focus on recommending and implementing process improvements. The role supports detailed informational analytics for current and future information reporting needs, distributed electronically or on paper to various organizational levels. It involves developing deployment strategies using efficient reporting processes and information retrieval/distribution, and actively participating in Informational Projects as a subject matter expert, focusing on business-oriented issue resolution.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing or related field
Experience in bank reporting and profitability systems
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
At least 4 years of experience with detailed knowledge of the banking / financial services industry
Understanding of banking, financial services, and/or investment industry
Advanced understanding of financial reporting and analytics
Understanding of reporting tools and platforms
Strong analytical and database skills
Must be able to work independently, problem solve, and meet deadlines
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
Ability to understand complex financial statistics and reports
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Responsibilities

Consults regularly with assigned line of businesses to understand their strategic plan, goals, and business issues.
Consults with management team to identify and define strategic business issues/requirements for analysis.
Translates business issues into analyses and designs appropriate systems extracts, files, and reports to address the business issues.
Writes and presents recommendations based on analysis, providing insight, knowledge, and understanding of business, products, markets, and industry.
Acts as subject matter expert on customer data & integrations.
Works with a cross-functional marketing team to develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for the line of business and ensures value proposition relevancy and effectiveness.
Works with various information sources to develop appropriate strategic recommendations to leadership, including customer analysis, market analysis, competitive analysis, financial reports, product trend reports, and industry reports.
Continuously works towards improving the quality and relevance of information resources.
Collaborates with Business Intelligence Analysts to design reporting, analyses, and lists that are aligned with the strategy and goals of the lines of business.
Presents recommendations, analysis, reporting, and research findings to internal audiences by synthesizing complex data and concerts into easy to comprehend, comprehensive, and cohesive presentations.
Researches any trends, either positive or negative, in the loan and deposit portfolios, and researches the reason and implications of such changes(s).
Assists in design of the business rules and strategy for Client and Relationship Management hub under the Informational approach.
Provides information and analysis that guides strategic thinking and supports decision making.
Provides business need validation in business intelligence development and release cycle, with intake and priority review, and communicates to business and end-user community.
Works with data management team to identify and document data gaps necessary for information requests and enhancements, and assists in validation once delivered.
