About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Business Execution Consultant for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC. This role supports the Market & Counterparty Regulatory Reporting team, focusing on accurate, timely, and regulator-aligned reporting. The position bridges risk subject matter expertise and technology delivery, with a mandate to analyze current reporting processes, identify inefficiencies, design automation solutions, and collaborate with technology teams for implementation. This role is crucial for modernizing reporting infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency, and mitigating regulatory risk.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Management consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • Advanced technical expertise in SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, performance optimization)
  • Advanced proficiency in Java (enterprise applications, batch processing frameworks such as Spring Boot / Spring Batch preferred)
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, infrastructure design, ETL, data pipeline development, and distributed/scalable processing frameworks
  • Experience working in Market Risk or Counterparty Risk environments
  • Familiarity with stress testing processes and risk aggregation and reporting controls
  • Proven experience writing detailed requirements in Jira (user stories, acceptance criteria)
  • Experience operating within Agile / hybrid delivery environments
  • Strong ability to translate SME discussions into concrete technical solutions and partner across risk, data, and technology teams
  • Understanding of Capital markets and regulatory reporting
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric/Automated Reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with regulatory reporting (e.g., FR Y 14Q, CCAR, Basel) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead support functions or operations for multiple business groups and contribute to large scale strategic initiatives
  • Ensure efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness of solutions and pipeline management
  • Research moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives
  • Partner with Market Risk and Counterparty Risk subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand and document end-to-end regulatory reporting workflows
  • Identify manual touchpoints, reconciliation gaps, data lineage issues, and opportunities for standardization
  • Develop future-state automation proposals and translate business processes into scalable technical designs, including data pipelines, aggregation logic, and reporting layers
  • Capture detailed business and technical requirements in Jira, including epics, features, and user stories
  • Drive the end-to-end delivery lifecycle from design and build to testing and production deployment
  • Analyze and work within complex reporting data environments involving large-scale relational datasets and risk aggregation frameworks
  • Incorporate modern visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau to reduce manual report generation and enable self-service analytics
  • Evaluate and recommend the use of emerging technologies, including AI/GenAI and advanced analytics platforms
