Job summary: To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Business Excellence Technician located in Columbia, SC. Reporting to the Business Excellence Manager the Business Excellence Technician role is responsible for continuously driving a culture of excellence in the organization, coaching and enabling waste removal activities using lean and six sigma approaches and tools and guiding actions to a sustainable conclusion.

Requirements

Typically requires 2+ years of experience in related field.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Experience using the following tools may be required: Pipe cutters, drills, power tools, lean and six sigma tools, maintain catalogue of work stations, trolleys etc.
Demonstrates advanced technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees.
Determines quality/testing methods/ procedures on new assignments.
Demonstrates knowledge of advanced technologies as well as functional techniques and improves processes.

Responsibilities

Support lean and six sigma activities as defined in the GBE A3.
Support in designing and building workstations, supermarket racks, benches, trolleys etc.
Familiar with and able to use Moonshine tools and machines effectively.
Ensure good 5S in the work area.
Implement identified Best practices timely.
Prepare and upload completed kaizen projects in the BE on-line Systems.
Maintain and update various indicators on the lean gallery and other defined locations.
