About The Position

Rolling Meadows High School is seeking exceptional candidates with a strong commitment to helping all students maximize their learning while achieving success with our district goals. Requirements

  • State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Senior HS endorsement in Business Education.
  • Experienced, outstanding educator.
  • Must be able to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Must work effectively within our Professional Learning Community model.
  • Must be well-versed in a variety of assessment practices that maximize student learning (formative, summative, selected response, extended written response, performance based).
  • Demonstrate a wide variety of instructional methods & classroom strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work with students of diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Business or Masters with 18 credit hours in business courses preferred (for dual credit accounting/business).

Responsibilities

  • Teach all levels of Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Consumer education, and/or ELL courses.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Work effectively within our Professional Learning Community model, which means working with teams of teachers to develop creative instructional strategies and resources, based on best practices, which enable our students to exceed state goals and standards.
  • Utilize research-based instructional strategies for increasing student achievement and strive to become a distinguished educator.
  • Employ a wide variety of assessment practices that maximize student learning (formative, summative, selected response, extended written response, performance based).
  • Demonstrate a wide variety of instructional methods & classroom strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Support building extracurricular activities as a coach or sponsor.
  • Work with students of diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
  • Pursue professional growth and seek additional certifications to support academic and career pathways.
  • Follow directives of Career and Technical Education division head.
