About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth Marketing, we are hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. As our new Business Development Representative, you will engage inbound and outbound prospects, qualify opportunities through thoughtful discovery, and connect prospective customers with the right Account Executive. Working closely with Marketing and Sales, you will play a key role in creating a seamless experience from first engagement through to the sales process while helping build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity working Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in our downtown Toronto office. Our headquarters are located within minutes of St. Andrew and Union subway stations.

Requirements

  • You have experience in a business development, inside sales, or customer-facing role where you engaged prospective customers, qualified opportunities, and built relationships through phone, email, and other outreach channels.
  • You are confident starting conversations, asking thoughtful questions, and listening to understand a prospect's needs. You can communicate clearly and professionally, adapting your approach across email, LinkedIn, phone, and virtual conversations.
  • You are comfortable working with CRM and sales engagement tools and can quickly learn new systems and technologies. Whether you have used Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms, you understand how technology supports an organized and effective sales process.
  • You are motivated to learn, open to feedback, and continuously improve your approach. You enjoy collaborating with others, take ownership of your work, and thrive in an environment where coaching, experimentation, and continuous improvement are part of the culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SaaS, AdTech, or MarTech is an asset, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and qualify prospective customers. You will be the first point of contact for inbound leads, responding quickly and thoughtfully to understand their business, goals, and readiness to buy. Through discovery conversations, you will assess each opportunity and connect qualified prospects with the appropriate Account Executive, ensuring a seamless transition into the sales process.
  • Generate new business opportunities. You will support outbound prospecting initiatives by engaging targeted accounts across email, LinkedIn, and phone. Working from structured campaigns and segmented prospect lists, you will build relationships with prospective customers, identify opportunities, and book qualified meetings for the Sales team.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient pipeline. You will keep Salesforce and other sales tools up to date, accurately tracking prospect activity, conversations, and outcomes. You will manage a high volume of leads while meeting service level expectations and ensuring no opportunities are missed.
  • Contribute to a growing Revenue Growth function. Working closely with Marketing, Sales, and your fellow BDRs, you will share insights on lead quality, messaging, and prospect feedback to help refine qualification criteria, outreach strategies, and the overall customer journey. As the team evolves, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas that improve how we engage future customers and scale the function.
