About The Position

The Business Development Representative will help reach people in the marketplace, meet and develop relationships with decision makers and influencers in the accounts on behalf of Solotech. Solotech is a global leader in live productions, systems integration and virtual technology, with a team of over 2,000 passionate individuals dedicated to delivering spectacular experiences worldwide.

Requirements

  • College Degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferably
  • 3 years selling AV, IT or Cellular solutions into various verticals.
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Low or High Voltage construction experience preferred
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 (Excel, Word)
  • Track record showing B2B sales detailing overall growth.
  • Capability to translate complex details into a simple language that anyone can understand
  • Ability to multi-task with a sense of calm resolve
  • Great discretion, concern for confidentiality
  • Ability to solve complicated problems
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Well-developed organizational skills
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with clients (internal and external)

Responsibilities

  • Identifying AV integration opportunities
  • Developing relationships with personnel involved with the audiovisual investment
  • Creating a dialogue to lead investor/associated parties down a clear, concise path
  • Performing needs assessment
  • Developing a budget
  • Estimating and/or taking off project drawings
  • Reviewing project specifications
  • Completing and pricing applicable spreadsheets/sales software
  • Preparing scope of work
  • Writing Executive Summary
  • Negotiating the project and securing the work
  • Visiting the project and reviewing the conditions
  • Preparing and processing orders/change orders
  • Collecting the money due
  • Recapping commission reports and filling in
  • Assisting with reasonable management duties
  • All normal duties necessary to assure the success of the project and company
  • Complete customer requests accurately and timely
  • Participate actively in internal sales meetings
  • Provide historical records by maintaining documentation and correspondence throughout the sales process
  • Recommend changes in products or service by evaluating results and competitive developments
