About The Position

The Business Development Representative will promote the PACE Program marketing plan to achieve referral and conversion goals. This role involves developing, managing, and maintaining qualified leads through various channels such as referrals, telephone canvassing, face-to-face meetings, cold calling, email, and networking. The representative will conduct research to identify new referral channels, prospects, and qualified leads, and create and deliver effective presentations. They will also develop and maintain communication documentation to track follow-through efforts with referral sources and differentiate them. Building strong business relationships with referral sources is key, requiring the ability to educate them on PACE Program services using technical selling skills and in-depth program information. The role demands identifying the needs of potential PACE Participants and aligning them with the PACE Program's values and services, demonstrating empathetic understanding through strong listening skills. Participation in the development of PACE Program related educational programs for referral sources, potential participants, and their families is expected. Accurate record-keeping of all marketing and prospecting activities, including calls, presentations, closed transactions, and follow-up, is essential. Weekly reporting of outcomes, successes, and failed attempts is required. Collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and enrollment team during the enrollment process, and leading tours of the PACE Center for potential participants, family members, and referral sources are also part of the responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, marketing or a related field required. Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.
  • Traveling between sites and other locations is required as an essential function of the job.
  • Must have a car, a valid California driver’s license, and proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law, although limits of $100,000 are recommended.
  • An acceptable driving record is also required.
  • 3 – 5 years minimum experience related to proven successful sales and marketing.
  • 3 – 5 years minimum experience related to the senior adult population, the healthcare field, healthcare management, managed care or nonprofits; or equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the PACE Program marketing plan in achieving referral and conversion goals.

  • Develop strong business relationships with referral sources to effectively educate on the PACE Program services offered using technical selling skills and in-depth program information.
  • Identify the needs of each potential PACE Participant in aligning to the values and services that the PACE Program provides.
  • Demonstrate an empathetic understanding based on strong listening skills.
  • Participate and contribute to the development of the PACE Program related educational programs offered to referral sources, potential PACE Participants and their families.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained of all marketing and prospecting activities to include calls, presentations, closed transactions, and follow-up.
  • Report outcomes, successes, and failed attempts on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and enrollment team as necessary during the enrollment process.
  • Lead tours of the PACE Center for potential participants, family members, and referral sources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
