About The Position

We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Representative to support and grow our presence in the Permian Basin. The ideal candidate has strong industry relationships, a working understanding of upstream/midstream operations, and a proven ability to win new work while growing existing accounts. This role is responsible for achieving annual awarded revenue goals of $10M+ through disciplined account development, strategic targeting, and strong commercial execution. The position is hybrid and requires regular travel throughout the Midland/Odessa area and other areas as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience in the oil & gas industry (Permian Basin experience strongly preferred)
  • Established network of industry contacts in the Permian Basin
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business goals, including annual awarded revenue targets of $10M+
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently within a territory and collaborate effectively with internal teams
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with E&P companies and pipeline operators
  • Technical knowledge related to corrosion prevention and cathodic protection
  • Salesforce (or similar CRM) experience
  • Oil & gas construction knowledge (excavation, hydro-excavation, pipeline operations)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a focused list of strategic target accounts within the Permian Basin
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with operators, service companies, and key decision-makers
  • Manage existing customer accounts to ensure continued satisfaction, repeat business, and expanded scope over time
  • Expand existing customer relationships and cross-sell applicable service lines based on customer needs
  • Achieve annual awarded revenue goals of $10M+ by identifying, qualifying, and converting opportunities
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, site visits, and industry networking
  • Support margin growth through strong commercial strategy, including disciplined qualification, pricing inputs, and proposal support
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure successful project execution from award through closeout
  • Support effective handoffs from business development to operations, ensuring scope clarity and customer alignment
  • Stay engaged with customers during execution to address questions, coordinate updates, and support issue resolution
