About The Position

Gateway Mechanical is seeking a high-performance Business Development Representative to dominate the Manitoba market. This is a growth and territory-expansion role focused on hunting new business, stealing market share, building strategic relationships, and winning major contracts. Gateway Mechanical has been a respected HVAC and Refrigeration contractor for over 55 years, and is now investing in growth. They are looking for someone who sees opportunity everywhere, thrives in competitive environments, and refuses to lose deals they should win.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven business development success.
  • 3+ years in Mechanical Contracting, HVAC, Refrigeration, Construction, or Industrial Services.
  • Demonstrated success selling service agreements, maintenance programs, and mechanical construction solutions.
  • Strong network within the Manitoba mechanical, construction, property management, or facilities sector.
  • Exceptional prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and multiple decision-makers.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
  • High personal accountability and a results-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical HVAC or Mechanical knowledge is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Relentlessly pursue new clients across Winnipeg and Manitoba.
  • Build relationships with building owners, property managers, facility leaders, contractors, consultants, and developers.
  • Generate new service agreement, maintenance, retrofit, and construction opportunities.
  • Turn cold prospects into long-term customers.
  • Create and execute territory growth strategies that produce measurable results.
  • Stay ahead of competitors and position Gateway as the obvious choice.
  • Deliver proposals that stand out and presentations that close.
  • Negotiate confidently and drive deals across the finish line.
  • Maintain a healthy, active sales pipeline and CRM.
  • Represent Gateway at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
  • Identify opportunities others miss and capitalize on them before the competition does.
